▣ Abstract :
Theautostereoscopic3D display is a device to provide 3D perception without the need for special
glasses, and they are able to support the enhanced image quality over previous
generation technologies. There have been particularly rapid advances in the autostereoscopic3D display for various applications such as TVs and mobile phones, because of
the availability of the enhanced image processing algorithms and the
development of the display devices with the high resolution and low cost.
Therefore, we need a clear understanding of how an autostereoscopicimage is perceived by an end-user and specific technologies for multiviewimage synthesis and multiviewmapping. In this presentation, we will concentrate our detailed technical
discussion on several autostereoscopic3D displays technologies including eye-tracking and stereo matching. In
addition, we will emphasize a total system combining 3D display designs and
image processing technologies to obtain a high quality 3D effect for end users.
