Professor Moon-Joo Lee Selected for NRF Quantum Technology R&D Leading Project
Professor Moon-Joo Lee from POSTECH’s Department of Electrical Engineering (Principal Investigator) has been selected for the Quantum Technology R&D Leading Project, titled “Generation of Multifunctional Neutral Atom Qubit Arrays,” organized by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF).
Dr. Ki-Se Lee played a pivotal role in drafting the project proposal, which aims to develop and control multi-qubit arrays—a core technology for next-generation quantum computers and quantum networks. The project spans approximately three years (2+1) with a total funding of 1.1 billion KRW (600 million KRW for the first phase and 500 million KRW for the second).
Professor Lee’s lab is expanding its research focus beyond ion trap qubit systems to neutral atom qubit systems, further advancing efforts in quantum computer development. This project is expected to make significant contributions to the field of quantum computing and related technologies.
