Jaehee Kim (Integrated Program), Selected for the “IEEE CASS Student Travel Grants”

Jaehee Kim, a student in the Integrated Program at POSTECH’s Department of Electrical Engineering (advisor: Prof. Youngju Lee), has been selected as a recipient of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) Student Travel Grants.

Each year, IEEE CASS awards Student Travel Grants to students who have made outstanding achievements in the Circuits and Systems field, supporting them in sharing innovative ideas at the CASS flagship conference. Jaehee Kim was selected this year for the excellence of her paper titled “Constrained Sorter Design Using Zero-One Principle,” presented at the IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS) held in Singapore from May 19 to May 22.

In her research, Jaehee Kim proposed the world’s first design framework for effectively designing constrained sorters, which are widely used in key signal processing algorithms. The results showed a sorter implementation that goes beyond the limitations of conventional heuristic optimization methods.
