Professor Rokhyeon Baek from POSTECH’s Department of Electrical Engineering has been selected for the Technical Program Committee of the IEEE VLSI Symposium on Technology and Circuits.

The Symposia on VLSI Technology and Circuits, celebrating its 44th year, is one of the two most prestigious conferences in the semiconductor device and process fields, alongside the International Electron Devices Meeting (IEDM). The symposium is held annually in the United States and Japan, where the latest research in semiconductor technology is presented. It selects a few of the best papers submitted by semiconductor companies and academic institutions worldwide.

Professor Baek is expected to contribute to the development and evaluation of technologies integrating cutting-edge logic devices, such as Gate-All-Around Nanosheet FET (GAA NSFET) and Complementary FET (CFET), with new interconnect technologies like the Backside Power Delivery Network (BS-PDN) suitable for 3D ICs.
