[ 수상 ]Dongseob Lee received the 1st Prize Best Antenna Measurement Paper Award at the 2024 IEEE ISAP (International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation), sponsored by the IEEE AP-S TCAM.
Dongseob Lee, a student in the Integrated Program at POSTECH’s Department of Electrical Engineering (advisor: Prof. Wonbin Hong), won the 1st Prize Best Antenna Measurement Paper Award at the 2024 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation (ISAP) for his paper titled “Streamlined Characterization Methodology for Chip-Level Antenna Performance: Electrical and Mechanical Analysis and Optimization.” This marks the first award for his research group at the ISAP conference.
The IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation (ISAP) is the largest international academic conference in the field of IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society/IEEE AP-S across the Asia-Pacific region, and it was held this year in Songdo, Incheon, Korea. A total of 516 papers were submitted to ISAP 2024, and after a rigorous three-stage review process, Dongseob Lee’s paper emerged as the winner from among six final candidates.
The paper presents a precise performance evaluation methodology for antennas designed using Fan-Out Wafer Level Package (FOWLP) by analyzing the electrical and mechanical characteristics, such as die-shift and warpage, that occur during the design process. The study’s originality, innovation, and potential impact on antenna packaging and electromagnetic wave applications at the chip level were highly recognized, leading to the award.
