Chaeyeon Kim (Integrated M.S.–Ph.D. student) from the Department of Electrical Engineering at POSTECH (advisor: Prof. Chulhong Kim) has been selected for the 2025 Academic Research Support Program for Science and Engineering (Master’s Research Fellowship) funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF).

The program aims to support creative and challenging research projects led by graduate students in science and engineering, fostering the development of future research leaders. Projects are selected through a comprehensive evaluation process considering the originality of the research proposal, its potential academic contribution, the applicant’s previous research achievements, and the advisor’s mentoring plan.

Kim will conduct research titled “Development of Integrated Biomarkers for Noninvasive Early Diagnosis and Treatment Monitoring of Crohn’s Disease Using Ultrafast Ultrasound Imaging.” The project will receive KRW 12 million in research funding over one year.
