[ 수상 ]Donghyun Kim (Integrated M.S./Ph.D. Student) Selected as Outstanding Student Researcher at the 9th K-CHIPS Awards

Donghyun Kim (integrated M.S./Ph.D. student) from the Department of Electrical Engineering at POSTECH (Advisor: Prof. Rokhyun Baek) has been selected as an Outstanding Student Researcher at the 9th K-CHIPS (Korea Collaborative & High-tech Initiative for Prospective Semiconductor Research) Awards.

Kim participated in the Public–Private Joint Investment Program for Advanced Semiconductor Workforce Development (2023–2032), jointly organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE), the Korea Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology (KEIT), and the Consortium of Semiconductor Advanced Research (COSAR). His work contributed to the project titled “Development of High-Mobility Channel and Dielectric Materials for Ultra-High-Stack 3D NAND Memory and Construction of an AI-based Large-Scale Analysis Platform.”

At the 9th K-CHIPS Awards, Kim was recognized as an Outstanding Student Researcher, receiving a prize of KRW 2 million and support for participation in international conferences.

The K-CHIPS Awards aim to strengthen the capabilities and motivation of student researchers participating in the semiconductor workforce development program. Award recipients are selected based on their research achievements and contributions to the program.

In addition, Prof. Baek’s research group was selected as one of the top three institutions for outstanding presentations among six institutions recognized for excellent performance out of 99 participating research organizations. The group has now received recognition at the K-CHIPS Awards for seven consecutive years, from the 3rd to the 9th edition.
