[ 기사 ]Dr. Haeyeon Park Appointed Assistant Professor at Pukyong National University

Dr. Haeyeon Park, a Ph.D. graduate of the CTRL Laboratory in the Department of Electrical Engineering at POSTECH (Advisor: Prof. Junghoon Kim), will join the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Pukyong National University as an Assistant Professor, beginning in the Spring semester of 2026 (March 3).

During her doctoral studies under Prof. Kim, Dr. Park conducted research in control theory and its applications. Her work particularly focused on analyzing humanoid walking stability and developing algorithms for computing safety regions for bipedal locomotion.

Throughout her Ph.D. program, she published eight first-author papers in leading venues, including top 10% SCIE-indexed international journals and premier conferences in control and robotics such as the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) and the IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC).

At Pukyong National University, Dr. Park will teach courses in the control and robotics field. Her future research will focus on establishing a theoretical framework for robust sampled-data control using Differential Linear Matrix Inequality (DLMI) and developing robust optimal control methods for networked systems.
