[ 기사 ]Dr. Hyungtae Choi Appointed Assistant Professor at Chung-Ang University

Dr. Hyungtae Choi, who earned his Ph.D. in February 2025 as a member of the CTRL Laboratory in the Department of Electrical Engineering at POSTECH (advisor: Prof. Jeonghoon Kim), and is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the same laboratory, will join the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Chung-Ang University as an Assistant Professor starting in the Fall semester of 2025 (September 1).

During his doctoral studies under the supervision of Prof. Kim, Dr. Choi conducted in-depth research in the field of control theory and its applications. In particular, he focused on analyzing the effects of persistent disturbances acting on nonlinear systems and developing analytical and control techniques to mitigate these effects. As a result of this work, he published six first-author papers in top 10% SCIE-indexed international journals over the past three years, demonstrating outstanding research achievements.

At Chung-Ang University, Dr. Choi will teach courses in control theory and its applications. He also plans to conduct advanced research on safety control, aiming to establish new theoretical frameworks and develop collision-avoidance technologies for robotics and autonomous systems.
