Jungbin Lim (Ph.D. Candidate) from the Department of Electrical Engineering at POSTECH (advisor: Prof. Namyoon Lee) received the Bronze Prize in the Communications & Networks category at the 31st Samsung HumanTech Paper Award for his research on spatiotemporal beamforming for low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite communications.

In his award-winning paper, Lim proposed a novel spatiotemporal beamforming technique to address the inter-satellite interference problem in next-generation LEO satellite networks. The proposed method overcomes the limitations of conventional spatial beamforming approaches by jointly exploiting spatial and temporal signal processing.

The research is expected to provide a key enabling technology for mitigating inter-satellite interference in future 6G satellite communication systems, contributing to the development of next-generation space communication networks.
