[ 수상 ]Mingon Cho (Ph.D. Candidate) Selected for the 2025 NRF Doctoral Research Fellowship

Mingon Cho (Ph.D. candidate) from the Department of Electrical Engineering at POSTECH (advisor: Prof. Kyungtae Kim) has been selected for the 2025 Academic Research Support Program for Science and Engineering – Doctoral Research Fellowship, funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF).

The program supports creative and challenging research projects led by integrated M.S.–Ph.D. and Ph.D. students in science and engineering fields, with the goal of fostering the next generation of researchers. Projects are selected through a comprehensive evaluation process that considers the quality of the research proposal, the applicant’s previous research achievements, and the advisor’s mentoring plan.

Selected projects receive research funding of up to KRW 50 million over a maximum period of two years, supporting research activities and academic dissemination.

Cho’s project, titled “Deep Learning-Based Super-Resolution Network Design for SAR Imaging,” was selected in the Artificial Intelligence (Applied) field, recognizing the potential impact and innovation of his proposed research.
