Minhee Lee (M.S. student) and Taeseon Yeom (Integrated M.S.–Ph.D. student) from the research group of Prof. Jaeho Lee in the Department of Electrical Engineering at POSTECH have been selected for the 2025 Academic Research Support Program for Science and Engineering (Master’s Research Fellowship) funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF). Each student will receive KRW 12 million in research funding for one year.
Minhee Lee will conduct research titled “Real-Time Video Restoration Algorithms Specialized for Confocal Microscopy Imaging.” The project aims to develop AI-based ultra-fast image processing technology that enables immediate cancer diagnosis in operating rooms through real-time enhancement of confocal microscopy images.
Taeseon Yeom will carry out research on “Accelerating Neural Operator Training Based on Implicit Neural Representations.” The study focuses on developing techniques that reduce the computational cost of representing high-dimensional signals—such as 3D images and physical simulations—using neural network models.
These projects aim to advance AI-driven imaging and scientific computing technologies, contributing to both medical imaging applications and efficient neural network modeling for complex data.
