[ 기사 ]Park, Poo Gyeon Elected President-Elect of ICROS

Park, Poo Gyeon, professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at POSTECH, has been elected President-Elect of the Institute of Control, Robotics and Systems (ICROS), the largest academic society in the field of control engineering in Korea.

Founded in 1994, ICROS promotes research and international collaboration in automatic control, measurement, and systems engineering. The society publishes major journals including the Journal of Institute of Control, Robotics and Systems (indexed in SCOPUS) and the International Journal of Control, Automation, and Systems (SCI Expanded). ICROS also organizes major domestic and international conferences such as ICROS and ICCAS, while maintaining active collaborations with international organizations including IFAC, ISA, SICE, IEEE R&A, CAA, CAAI, and CACS to enhance the global competitiveness of Korea’s control and systems research community.

Park, Poo Gyeon was elected in recognition of his academic contributions in robust control and adaptive filtering, as well as his leadership and service as an organizer of major academic conferences. He is scheduled to officially begin his term as President of ICROS in 2027.
