Prof. Jaeho Lee from the Department of Electrical Engineering at POSTECH received the Early Career Researcher Award at the 2025 Conference on Information and Control Systems (CICS 2025), jointly organized by the Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers (KIEE) and the Institute of Electronics and Information Engineers (IEIE).

This prestigious award is presented to early-career researchers who have demonstrated outstanding research achievements in the fields of information and control systems. Prof. Lee was recognized for his leading research contributions and academic impact in machine learning and computationally efficient artificial intelligence technologies.

The award ceremony was held during CICS 2025, which took place from October 22 to 25, 2025, at Delpino Resort in Sokcho, Korea. In an invited session held alongside the ceremony, Prof. Lee delivered a presentation titled “Scaling Laws, Model Compression, and Model Expansion.”
