Prof. Namyoon Lee from the Department of Electrical Engineering at POSTECH has been appointed to the Executive Editorial Committee (EEC) of IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications (TWC, Impact Factor: 10.7), one of the most prestigious journals in the field of wireless communications.

IEEE TWC is widely regarded as one of the most influential journals in wireless communications. The Executive Editorial Committee serves as the journal’s core decision-making body, overseeing its editorial direction, review standards, and overall publication quality. The committee consists of eight leading experts selected from around the world. Prof. Lee’s appointment marks only the second time a Korean researcher has been selected for the EEC, recognizing his academic achievements, technical expertise, and international reputation in the research community.

Prof. Lee previously served as an Associate Editor of IEEE TWC from 2020 to 2025, where he was widely recognized for his outstanding contributions to the peer-review process. Based on these contributions, he has now been appointed to the EEC.

“I am honored to contribute to the academic development of one of the leading journals in wireless communications,” said Prof. Lee. “I will do my best to help maintain a trustworthy scholarly ecosystem for researchers around the world.”

This appointment highlights the global research competitiveness and academic influence of POSTECH’s Department of Electrical Engineering, and is expected to further strengthen its leadership in wireless communications, 6G, and satellite communication research.
