Prof. Yosep Jeon from the Department of Electrical Engineering at POSTECH has been selected as the recipient of the 2025 IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) Asia-Pacific Outstanding Young Researcher Award.

This prestigious award is presented to researchers under the age of 35 in the Asia–Pacific region who have demonstrated outstanding research achievements in the field of communications. Prof. Jeon was recognized for his academic excellence and significant international contributions to next-generation wireless communication technologies based on artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML).

Notably, Prof. Jeon is the only Korean researcher selected among the awardees of both this year and last year, highlighting the significance of this recognition.

The award ceremony will take place at the IEEE Global Communications Conference (GLOBECOM), one of the top international conferences in communications, to be held in Taipei, Taiwan, in December 2025.
