▣ Abstract :

 Organic

electronics has attracted much attention as a feasible candidate to realize the

transition from “Hard” to “Soft” electronics. Its optoelectronic properties are

determined by the molecular and mesoscale structure of organic semiconductors,

which involves various aspect of chemical and physical engineering of the

materials at nanoscale as well as the optimization of fabrication processes. In

this lecture, the basic principles of a representative organic optoelectronic

device, organic solar cell, will be discussed. Furthermore, recent advances in

soft solar-energy-harvesting technology will be briefly reviewed.
